Tom of Finland

I've fallen in love with Tom of Finland. Lads, chech him out, he's a very dirty bit of gay history. No, the guys aren't my type, but they have a classic, slutty sort of vintage appeal. mm.
So, quick poll: I have to write a paper somewhat romotely related to "Invisible Man" by Ellison. I was contemplating doing a literary analysis (which I would enjoy, yes, I'm a freak), or one on homophobia, which I would have to hide from the 'rents. Not too hard, and I don't have major qualms about it, but still. Anyway, respond. And stop using "like" as a passing word! It irritates me to no end! No worries:)

Yeah

Like, Tom of Finland is awesome. Okay, maybe without the like part. Because it is pretty lame. Not Tom's work, the like thing.

What's Invisible Man about? Does it have deeper themes, or is that what the two or three invisible man movies were based on?

hmm

what sort of lit analysis would you do? you can often tie a close reading of a given paragraph to a lot of larger themes, like homophobia or "fear of the other" in general...

my advice is to write something directly tied to the text. but that's my sort of approach. i got in trouble in queer studies class for always using a literary text as basis for my theory :-)

like is for lovers

but um, it's cool to say like or something. it's ynkow, punctuation for the postmodern person. it actually has a very bitchin function, which is something english teachers fail to appreciate. so why be annoyed? let's open our hearts to like. (p.s... i'm really being basically serious.)
