Okay so i just got her CD and i am like this is the best cd ever. u all have to check her out, and if u know who she is already lets talk about what u think of how increadably crazy awsome she is. www.alixolson.com (i think)
I read America's on Sale in this book, Revolutionary Voices- it's edited by Amy Sutton, if anyone's looking for it. I also read the one about On Coming Home With Short Hair, and I loved it. I didn't realize she had a cd, but if I can find it, I'm going to buy it.
i saw her at UMass-Amherst (my school) when we hosted the Big Gay Conference (New England GLBT college conference thingie) last year. she's absolutely amazing. this little tiny person with such big ideas and such a great way of voicing them. she's damn funny. so funny, and the stuff she says makes you hurt when you think about it...
of course, the first song on her CD is the best... mwhahahaha... yay fractured fairy tales!

I saw her this fall on campus in Ottawa, in all of her pigtailed spoken word glory. And she is amazing.
